Kidney, Nephron, and Glomerulus

Three excellent models mounted jointly to give a coherent overall understanding of kidney functioning. Size: 12" x 26" x 2 3/4".

The kidney is enlarged approximately 3 times and is sectioned posteriorly to show pyramids of the kidney with the papillae entering the partly open pelvis, and a schematic presentation of a nephron with its loop of Henle. The nephron is enlarged 120 times, and shows two nephrons with blood vessels and their loops of Henle.

The glomerulus is enlarged 700 times and shows the arteriola afferens, the capillaries of the glomerulus, urinary pole, and Bowman's capsule. Made in Germany.
